The Memphis Jewish High School is a co-educational, modern orthodox school looking for young people of good character and educational promise who will grow in their commitment to Judaism, become engaged in their learning experiences, be stimulated by the dual curriculum, pursue independent work, and contribute to the academic and co-curricular life of the learning community.

Memphis Jewish High School is open and welcoming to a broad spectrum of the Jewish community. A diverse student body is consistent with the mission of the school and its commitment to provide its students with the opportunity to strengthen Jewish identity and commitment.

Memphis Jewish High School admits students of any race, color, national origin and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis or race, color, national origin and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs and athletic and other school-administered programs.

Our application process is a holistic approach resulting in a comprehensive portrait of the student. To that end, the following is required:

  1. Application form

  2. Previous school transcript

  3. Previous testing

  4. Four Confidential Recommendation Forms to be completed by the school administrator or counselor, math teacher, English teacher, and Jewish professional

  5. Student interview with MJHS administrator

  6. Completion of the ISEE

  7. Nonrefundable $50 application fee
